Because the wood is heavy, I can't lift the box on my own. Everything inside the box is loose. Every screw, rod, plank, etc. still needs to be assembled. What a shame. A screwdriver (an "Ikea-style Allen key" that keeps slipping out of your hand) is included, but it's impossible to hold and turn on the sides because of the balance rods. Terrible pain in my arm from applying so much pressure to screw everything in, and the effort to get everything aligned properly. It would be great if the largest part were assembled at the factory. Also, split it across 2 or more boxes. A cordless drill would make it easier... but not everyone has one at home and you also need to know how to use it.......

When I put this together, I was actually quite surprised – it's really big. You definitely need a fair amount of space. We tested the climbing frame straight away at our son's birthday party (1 year old). His 2.5-year-old cousin and all the older cousins tested it extensively. We think a 10-year-old is starting to get a bit too heavy for it. Our 9-year-old daughter has already made a tent out of the triangle and used the play arch as a fence around her Lego (so her little brother can't reach it). I think this is an excellent purchase. Downside: we're considering treating the wood because it would actually be ideal as outdoor play equipment too! Maybe Sint Nicolas can bring the cushion so we'd have a rocking chair indoors as well ;-)

Amazing!
When the box arrived I thought.. meh, that doesn't look very big. So I was skeptical. Once assembled, it turned out to be a perfectly fine size. My 3-year-old toddler absolutely loves it and is getting good practice climbing and scrambling. The only downside I find is that the wood doesn't seem very suitable for outdoors (if you accidentally leave it out in the rain). So I'm going to apply some garden furniture stain to it. Other than that, a truly great purchase for the kids.
